Unity Hall is part of Wakefield's heritage. This building was standing derelict for many years. Triton Construction were appointed to carry out fully refurbishment. LMB were appointed to carry out the mechanical services. We installed a full gas fired heating system, Building Management System, domestic waters and local ventilation systems throughout. The focal point of the building is the main hall which can accommodate 850 people. We installed a natural ventilation system into the hall incorporating a new central extract turret.
This project was also nominated for the LABC Award for Restoration and Conversion - Large Projects. We are delighted to announce the project came first in its category and a copy of the certificate it attached in the project images.
