With some exceptional companies and some fantastic people already nominated, it’s clear that Andy and LMB Group are already the underdogs……….but we all love to see an underdog win don’t we, so your votes are crucial  and you can really play your part in helping us claim top spot.

Managing Director Andy Bean, had this to say about the nomination, “It’s fantastic that the business has been recognised for all our efforts this year. Andy's Clocking up the Miles for Charity

LMB Group Managing Director Andrew Bean will embark on a gruelling twelve-month, charity challenge for Kirkwood Hospice and The Children’s Heart Surgery Charity, starting on the first of January 2019.

Andy came up with the crazy challenge of walking 1,000,000 steps a month, for 12 consecutive months after LMB Group committed to supporting three charities for 2019, they will also include Bradford based children’s charity One in a Million in its three chosen charities.

Andy will walk 32,876 steps a day, the equivalent of 19.3 miles per day which will equate to 7,058 miles over a twelve-month period. Andy had this to say about the challenge, “I’ve always been into fitness and setting myself challenging goals, but this will be a tough one to say the least. We’ve always supported charities where we can, but next year we decided to put some structure and focus behind our fundraising efforts. We chose Kirkwood Hospice and The Children’s Heart Surgery as two of our chosen charities after asking our team to nominate a charity and give us a reason why. I couldn’t believe that some of our team had recently had family members at the hospice and one of our Estimators had heart surgery at the hospital when he was younger, it seemed like two obvious choices really”

LMB Group are asking anyone who reads our news story, to dig deep and support Andy in this gruelling challenge. Anyone wishing to sponsor Andy, can click on either of the selected charities fundraising pages. Everyone at LMB Group would like to wish Andy good luck, and we all hope he’s successful in raising his fundraising target for both charities.
