Mechanical - LMB undertook the mechanical works on the prestigious Royal Liver Building commencing May 2019 completing February 2020. With a design brief to create high end, CAT A office space within a Grade 1 listed building, months of meticulous planning and design works were undertaken before works progressed to site. Starting within the basement level, a new gym studio, changing and showering facilities consisting of all new water, AC and ventilation services along with a new cycle store proved difficult yet rewarding given building make up. Onto the ground to second floors, where 3 floors of new office space was created, all with independently controlled comfort cooling, Supply and extract ventilation, through the use of flat Oval ductwork to overcome ceiling height constraints, coupled with utilising water cooled AC condensers to conquer the implications with externally mounted plant made this project a true victory. The attention to detail and reluctance to accept anything other than the highest quality made this project one which all the team at LMB can be proud of.
