Mechanical - Complete new fit out of newly purpose built fire station comprising of new incoming mains cold water to serve new system, sanitary ware and catering facilities as well as point of use local water heaters for hot water generation. New LTHW was provided to all areas within the building and appliance bay through the installation of radiant heating panels fed via the gas boiler located in the plantroom. Ventilation was by way of local extract fans/Heat recovery units. Air conditioning was also installed in the IT to keep temperatures stable in this sensitive environment. All controlled via a purpose made mechanical control panel, also mounted in the plant room.
Electrical - This project consisted of the fit out of a newly built fire station and associated community/admin areas. A distribution system has been installed with a UPS for essential services and a generator hook up should the power supply be interrupted for a longer period.
Lighting & emergency lighting of various HF types have been installed suitable for the individual areas with different control philofocies; ie manual, presence detection and absence detection. New small power has been installed feeding general equipment, charging points, roller shutter doors, compressors and mechanical services. A conventional fire alarm system has been installed covering all areas with the use of, heat & optical detectors, manual call points and plant shut down. A security system has been installed covering all arears with various control strategies allowing different areas of the building to be used whist still protecting other areas. Access control has been installed controlling external and internal doors with various different protocols. CCTV has been installed covering both the external and internal of the building
A complete data and voice network has been installed.
